The National University of Singapore (NUS) was founded in 1905 as a medical college. The Duke-NUS Medical School was established in 2005 in collaboration with Duke University, and has since become a regional leader in medical training and education. Faculty members study numerous topics of importance to global health, including the development of dengue vaccines and tuberculosis chemotherapies.
